Baptisms

Baptisms

Baptism is a welcoming Service. Through a ceremony going back to the very beginning of Christianity we are welcomed into the Family of God. In baptism God commits himself to us as our heavenly Father. The rest of our lives is a response to that love.

Birth

The birth of a child is a glorious time. We want the best for them and we want their life to be full and fulfilling. This includes laying down a foundation for their spiritual life. A Baptism Service provides us with the perfect opportunity to celebrate the joy of their birth and the start of your journey of faith.

Timing

On enquiry, we will contact you and provide you with more information and all the necessary forms. More importantly we will want to introduce you to church life and the ways we involve children and families in our church. For this reason we usually require at least three months’ notice for a baptism so that we can get to know each other and you can meet other families through our Sunday Club.

Joyful

A child’s baptism is joyful and inspiring. Many parents feel the challenge to take matters further and do something for themselves – their own faith. There are lots of ways we can help you. At the time of your child’s baptism we will have a chat about some ideas that will help you keep one step ahead of your child!
